Note: For specific requirements, refer to Clause 6.7 of CSA Z91.
Access system — all components of the suspended equipment, anchors, suspension lines, fall- protection equipment, and devices that are associated with and used in performing suspended equipment work.
Alteration — a change or addition to the original manufacturer’s design and construction of the equipment other than repairs or replacements of existing components due to normal wear and tear.
Anchor — a component or system of components that secures a fall protection, descent control, positioning, rescue, or suspended component/tie-back line system to an anchorage.
Anchorage — a structure that resists the forces applied by a fall protection, descent control, positioning, rescue, or suspended component/tie-back line system.
Note: A beam and a roof slab are examples of anchorages.
Anchorage connector — see Anchor.
Angulated roping — a system of platform suspension in which the upper suspension points are closer to the plane of the building or structure face than the corresponding attachment points on the platform, thus causing the platform to press against the face of the building or structure.

b) familiar with the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction that apply to the work; and
c) knowledgeable of the actual or potential hazards related to the work.
Connection point — the element on an anchorage connector to which a fall protection, descent control, positioning, rescue, or suspended component/tie-back line system is attached.
