UL 7010:2018-05 Environmental Claim Validation Procedure (ECVP) for Formaldehyde Reduction.
2.1 This procedure covers building materials or products which can reduce indoor formaldehyde concentration through adsorption, absorption and chemisorption.
2.2 Building materials and products covered by this procedure include wallboard, wallpapers, flooring products, paint products, and other building materials.
2.3 Products using indoor plants to absorb formaldehyde are not covered under this procedure.
3 Units of Measurement
3.1 For the purposes of this procedure, values shall be reported in accordance with the requirements of the individual criterion, If the manufacturer’s choice of units deviates, that change shall be documented and justified as to the reason and relevance for that change.

be interpreted as referring to the latest edition of that code or standard.
5.1 For the purpose of this procedure. the following definitions apply.
5.2 HALF-LIFETIME — Time elapsed from the start of the test until the formaldehyde concentration
decreases to one-half of the initial concentration.
